Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 11/08/18
Receipts: 1637 Last Week: 2017 Year Ago: 2227
Compared to last week: Trade activity and buyer demand moderate. Feeder
steers under 550 lbs traded mostly 1.00 to 3.00 higher with instances of sharply
higher, 550-750 lbs mostly 3.00 to 6.00 lower and steers over 750 lbs were too
lightly tested to trend. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs traded mostly 2.00 higher
to sharply higher on a light test, and heifers over 550 lbs were mostly steady
to 1.00 lower. The supply was comprised of 100 percent feeder cattle. In
feeder cattle supply, approximately 63 percent were steers, 36 percent heifers,
and 1 percent bulls with 43 percent of the supply weighing over 600 lbs. The
next available sale will be Thursday, November 15, 2018.
